If you have not visited Koh Lanta before and want to get to know the area in a very unique way, or just want to know more about the history of Koh Lanta, this full day tour is for you.

This tour provides a real local insight into Koh Lanta with an English speaking guide explaining the history of Koh Lanta and day to day life here for many people. You will visit a farm on Lanta Noi and get an opportunity to try some locally produced fruit, deserts and “naam kra-jeab” (น้ำกระเจี๊ยบ) – a special tea made from hibiscus flowers. Don’t miss trying the “khanom la” (ขนมลา) – a delicious sweet snack made from strands of rice flour and egg.

After the farm visit on Lanta Noi there is a brief visit to a rubber plantation before a trip through the mangroves on a longtail boat – pirate monkeys boarding your boat is almost guaranteed!

We’ll have lunch at Khao Yai Viewpoint restaurant before visiting a local Chao Ley village, then the main Buddhist temple on Lanta. Your guide will tell you more about the Chao Ley culture and the importance of Buddhism in everyday life on Koh Lanta.

Our last stop is at Koh Lanta Old Town to explore some local shops before returning to your hotel.
