But don’t listen to us, listen to our customers! Here’s some recent reviews from Trip Advisor.
I have more questions....
If you are like most people, you might have some additional questions – we understand. Information on how to book and prices are here. Below are some of the more common questions we have been asked. If you have further queries, please get in touch and we’ll do our best to help.
Complimentary bottled water and lunch are provided, you are welcome to bring additional snacks or drinks.
Other items you many want to consider:
- Swimwear
- Shorts
- Beach towel
- Sunscreen
- Sun hat
- Sunglasses
- Camera
- Waterproof drybag
Biting insects such as mosquitoes aren’t typically a problem during the day, but if you have young children you might want to bring some mosquito repellent, just in case!
Ko Rok, Ko Bubu, Koh Kradan and Ko Ngai/Hai all have small resorts on them, and can provide additional food, snacks and drinks, so bringing a little spending money with you might be useful.
Yes, life jackets are available onboard. Your safety is our priority. Also we understand that some people are more comfortable in the water with a lifejacket, and we’d recommend that young children always wear a life jacket. Although we have small sized life jackets, for very young children we’d recommend that you bring your own floatation/buoyancy aids with you that you are comfortable correctly fit.
Masks and snorkels are available onboard. There’s also a limited selection of fins (or ‘flippers’ for you landlubbers!)
Please let us know in advance of any food allergies or if you have a special dietary requirement.
Absolutely! Children are more than welcome on our longtail. However as always, please be careful around open water and don’t leave children unattended. Although we have small sized life jackets, for young children we’d recommend that you bring your own floatation/buoyancy aids with you that correctly fit.
Our Thai boat captain knows everything you might want to ask about our tours, and speaks some English.
Our driver will meet you at your resort or hotel at approximately 8:30am and drive you to your departure point. All longtail day trips leave at approximately 9:00am and return around 4:30pm, not including transfer times returning back to your resort.
It is not possible to do half day trips due to the distances and travel times involved. For example, a private longtail trip to Koh Rok takes up to 2 hours travel time from Koh Lanta. On a half day trip leaving at 12:00, we would arrive at 2:00pm then have to immediately return, arriving back to Lanta at 4:00pm. You would have no time to spend exploring Koh Rok.
The 4 Islands longtail trip is approximately 1 hour travel time, Koh Kradan travel time is approximately 1 hour, 15 minutes. We want to make sure our guests have the best day trip from Koh Lanta, and this just isn’t possible with only a half day tour.
We provide private longtail tours to nearby national park islands, we do not provide fishing trips. We’d rather you snorkeled with the fish and appreciated the natural beauty of the tropical paradise we call home, rather than pull fish out the water! Also it’s illegal to fish on the coral reefs in the national parks – we cannot take you on fishing trips to tour destinations listed on our website.
There’s no problem bringing alcohol on board and we welcome group parties, but please drink responsibly and be respectful of the boat crew and any other visitors to the islands and beaches.
